Creative Learning Center of Highland Baptist Church

The Creative Learning Center was established in 1992 to provide a ministry program of preschool classes for one-year old through four-year old children. The purpose of CLC was, and still is, to extend the ministry of Highland Baptist Church by providing care, Christian education, and development for each child enrolled. Our goal is to teach the whole child - spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. This is to be accomplished by providing developmentally appropriate activities and guidance. 

The Creative Learning Center is governed by a church–appointed committee and administered by the Director. Each member of the CLC staff is a trained teacher or associate teacher and possesses the

competency and understanding needed to teach young children.

CLC classes are open to any child regardless of race or religious beliefs. The curriculum is appropriately designed for the age group and to the stage of development of each individual child. Our belief is that a

child absorbs his concept of God from people, things and experiences. Because of this belief, a love and appreciation for God, Christ, and the things God has made are stressed through appropriate activities.

• Infant room - 5 students to 2 staff
• One Year olds – 7 students to 2 staff
• Two-Year-olds – 12 students to 2 staff
• Three-Year-olds – 14 students to 2 staff
• Four-Year-olds – 16 students to 2 staff
